Glinde, March 24th 2015 — be quiet!, the market leader in PC power supplies in Germany for nine consecutive years*, has presented at the CeBIT in Hannover their product highlights in the categories ‘Cases’, ‘PC Power Supplies’ and ‘CPU Coolers’. The windowed version of the award-winning Silent Base 800 and the new Dark Power Pro 11 power supplies (with an efficiency up to 94 percent) were introduced. Two new CPU-coolers, the Shadow Rock LP and the Dark Rock TF, were shown for the first time at a German expo.
Dark Power Pro 11
be quiet! welcomed its CeBIT visitors at its booth in Hall 15, presenting their highlights from its broad product portfolio. Among the absolute product innovations were the Dark Power Pro 11 power supplies, which in comparison with the previous models now carry a 80PLUS Platinum rating in all Watt classes, performing with an efficiency of up to 94 percent. A speed-optimised SilentWings 3 fan with an enlarged, funnel-shaped air intake reduces the noise levels even further in this new generation. On top of this, be quiet! has chosen extremely high-quality and durable components, integrated a decoupling in the body, and offers cable management and the proven Overclocking Key to connect the individual 12V rails for maximum performance. The Dark Power Pro 11 series will be available from the start in six variants, covering 550, 650, 750, 850, 1000 and 1200 Watt for all common
configurations. The launch of these new power supplies will take place in May for the three high-wattage models, followed in July by the 550 to 750 Watt models.
Silent Base 800 Window
A new Window version of the award-winning Silent Base 800 was introduced at the IT-expo. However, the manufacturer hasn’t simply fitted its case with an ordinary window, but has developed a special in-house technique. In order to maintain the excellent low-noise properties of the Silent Base 800, be quiet! utilises a double-layered window made from a scratch and impact resistant polycarbonate, providing a significantly improved noise isolation due to integrated air pockets and acting as an equivalent replacement for the sound-insulated metal side panel. The rubber seal has matching colours to their respective case version and enhances sound and vibration absorption. Alongside, be quiet! presented an optional window kit at the expo, available for purchase to owners of the regular Silent Base 800.
Dark Rock TF and Shadow Rock LP
Although both new CPU cooler models Dark Rock TF and Shadow Rock LP were already introduced earlier this year at CES in Las Vegas, for German expo visitors, the CeBIT was the first opportunity they had of seeing it with their own eyes. The Dark Rock TF joins the high-end segment of be quiet! reaching an outstanding cooling power of 220 watts at near silence due its two fans. This also applies to the Shadow Rock LP, which can cope with a power dissipation of up to 130 watts and is to be sold at a very attractive price.
All new products shown at the CeBIT by be quiet! will be available on the market in the second quarter of this year.
