Buffalo launches new TeraStation™ Windows Storage Server devices

 

Equipped with Windows® Storage Server 2016, the new TeraStation devices integrate seamlessly with all Microsoft environments.

Hoofddorp, 11 June 2018 – Buffalo EU B.V., a global provider of network attached storage (NAS), USB storage, wired and wireless networking solutions, announces today the availability of its new line of TeraStation NAS devices equipped with WSS 2016.

Buffalo is dedicated to building reliable and easy to use devices and services, and the new line provides perfect storage options for users in Microsoft environments. The new series also integrates with all Microsoft based cloud services. The new models equipped with WSS 2016 replace former models featuring WSS 2012R2.

The improved WS5020 NAS devices also include NAS-grade drives, upgrade memory to 8GB with ECC, new generation Intel Atom CPU’s (C3338), and built-in 10GbE connectivity. They can be used as a file server for small/medium companies or divisions with more than 100 employees, or as a backup server for any organisation. The large capacity ECC memory enables stable operation even when virus scanning or other software is in use.

Windows Storage Servers integrate Shadow Copies functionality to create scheduled snapshots of shared folders in order to restore changed files when needed. The devices also integrate Data Deduplication to optimise storage capacity.

Buffalo also offers the TeraStation WSH5610DNS6 with a hardware RAID and its dedicated CPU allowing for a better stability of the system through less activity on the main CPU for higher performance processing.
