LGY-PCIE-MG expansion card enables easy and cost-effective migration to a superfast 10GbE network
Hoofddorp – 08 November 2018. Buffalo EU B.V., a global provider of network attached storage (NAS), USB storage, wired and wireless networking solutions, has announced its PCI-E 10GbE Network Card LGY-PCIE-MG. This expansion card allows for every computer in the company to benefit from superfast 10GbE infrastructure to maximise use of heavy data volumes.
By using a 10 GbE environment such as a 10GbE equipped computer, 10GbE compatible NAS and 10GbE switch, the transfer time of large capacity data is reduced by about 66%. This is particularly important in industries where the speed of processing huge amounts of data is critical, such as CAD, graphics, entertainment or manufacturing.
Buffalo’s LGY-PCIE-MG is multi giga compliant, meaning it is backward compatible with 5, 2.5, and 1 GbE networks. It is also fully compatible with Windows 7 and up, as well as Windows Server 2012 and up. The product benefits from a 3-year warranty.
The PCI-E 10GbE Network Card LGY-PCIE-MG is equipped with a RJ-45 type 8-pin × 1 (AUTO – MDIX compatible) connector and supports jumbo frames up to 9014 Bytes (including Header 14 Bytes + FCS 4 Bytes). The card weighs 65 g and is operating in all types of environments from 0°C to 55°C, with a power consumption of 6.1 W.
The LGY-PCIE-MG 10GbE Network Card from Buffalo is offered at a recommended retail price (including VAT) of £155.
